In 1993, the first series of  Boyds Bears resin figurines was established (“The Bearstone Collection.”)  Basically, Boyds Bears Resin figurines are a hard-like structure of the lovable plush bears.  Once these new figurines hit the shelves they immediately became a hit, touching homes across the nation!  Their renowned popularity lives on to today, making the Boyds Bears resin line a complete success!

On the bottom of the Boyds Bears Resin figurines is the edition number written in ink.

            The first piece made in every Boyds Bears resin series is marked as a 1E/1 (first edition/first piece), then 1E/2 (first edition/second piece), etc.  When the first edition is done, they start with the second edition, marking the Boyds Bears resin figurines the same way, just starting with a 2, (2E/1, 2E/2, 2E/3, etc.)  For example, you could have a Boyds Bears resin figuring with 68E/100, making it the 100^th piece in the 68^th edition. 

              If you have a Boyds Bears resin figurine that is part of a limited edition, the marking on the bottom is different.  The bottom will read Limited Edition/1,2,3, etc. *The popularity of the limited edition Boyds Bears Resin figurines is high, making them sell off of the shelves very fast.*

          There are also special event Boyds Bears resin figurines that represent events and holidays (Christmas, Halloween, Mother’s Day, etc.) If you have one, you will see the word “Special Event” stamped on the bottom usually without editions or numbers.  After the year the  special event Boyds Bears resin figurines come out, they expire.

                 Be aware of fake Boyds Bears resin figurines.  To make sure yours is authentic, look for the following symbols on the bottom:
