Toilet Potty Training presents is a tough time in your child's development.

Toilet potty training can be scary for your child, especially when it comes to flushing. There are many factors that make toilet potty training tough for parents and their children. We're here to help the toilet potty training transition be as smooth as possible.

One set back is children have a hard time flushing, mainly when they think the toilet
can suck them in and down into a mysterious hole! Then you have those poor little children who caused a clog in the toilet and saw mommy and daddy become frantic over it. Some children believe there are poopy monsters in the toilet and some just like the convenience of being changed. Whatever has your child distracted there is no denying that toilet potty training can be extremely challenging.

There are several rules to follow when toilet potty training your child. First, do not rush the idea. If you force your child to use the big potty, chances are they are going to retaliate. Toilet potty training takes a lot of time and patience for you and your child. Give your child time to get over telling you “no” when you mention him using the potty. Take a break, and then get the potty chair out again in a few weeks for a fresh new start. Start the toilet potty training again when you and your child are having a “good day.” By that I mean you and your child are on time with your daily routine, there are no interruptions and you two are generally in your happy-go-lucky mood

Another rule is letting your child accompany you to the bathroom. A lot of people may re-read that with disgust, but think about it – you have to teach your child somehow! Your children look up to you and learn from you and your actions. Letting your child see you go potty without being scared is a great way to teach him that toilet potty training is safe. Let your child flush for you and clap with accomplishment and encouragement. Pretty soon your child will learn that toilet potty training is fun for big boys and girls!

The most important rule is finding the right potty chair for your child’s toilet potty training. Let your child keep the toilet in his playroom and allow him to let his stuffed animals/toys sit on the potty so he can give them their toilet potty training lesson. That is
a great way for him to want to use the potty himself.
